Here’s a few photos from our recent trip to Yosemite Valley where we spent a three-day mini-vacation over the weekend of October 13, 2007. Although the waterfalls weren’t running very much at this time of year, the Valley was still as picturesque as ever. We hiked up to the top of Nevada Falls for a great view, bicycled to Mirror Lake for an up-close look at Half Dome, walked among the amazing autumn colors of El Cap Meadow, experienced a spectacular sunset at Glacier Point, and had a gourmet meal at the incredible Ahwahnee Hotel. It was an all around good time, you’ve just got to love Yosemite! It just never seems to get old, no matter how many times we’ve previously been.

Several weeks back, I went down to check out the Blue Angels air show at Crissy Field in San Francisco Bay with the intent of making a high fidelity audio recording of a flyover. Let’s just say I fully succeeded on that mission! I’ve included a short video of two super-close flyovers as well as a two-minute audio file with a whole bunch more. Make sure to turn your speakers on and loud for this post!

Here’s a set of photos from our recent trip to Seattle to visit June’s sister and her family. June stayed for a whole week, while I only went up for the long weekend. This was our ninth annual trip to Seattle over Labor Day Weekend — at this point I think it’s safe to call it a tradition! We had a great time hanging out with our family, attending the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival, checking out the new Seattle Sculpture Garden, and going out for a swim and a ride on their vintage Chris Craft. Good times!
